Language, Look, Promise

A brand isn't a logo. It's a system of meaning. Three layers hold it together.

Language

How the brand speaks. Voice, tone, messaging hierarchy, vocabulary. Same personality in a headline, an error message, a contract.

Look

How the brand appears. Typography, color, grid, iconography, motion. The Look is the visible translation of the Language. They have to match.

Promise

What the brand is for. The commitment under everything else. The Promise sets the rules; the Language and Look enforce them.

When the three line up, the brand stops being a folder of assets. It becomes a thing.

Language is the voice. Look is the body. Promise is the spine.
