What is this codex?

A library of models I use. Brand, motion, AI, systems. Written down so I stop rebuilding them from memory each time.

I'm Renaud Futterer. I build brand and motion systems. 18 years doing it. Buck, ManvsMachine, Nexus, Panoply (co-founded, sold). Nike, Louis Vuitton, Mercedes, Google, Chanel, Dior.

A few things that shape what's in here:

Everything is a system

Single ideas don't do much. The work happens at the joins — how a principle connects to a model, how a model produces an artefact. I treat each note as a piece, not a finished thought.

Meaning over topic

Pages aren't organised by subject. They're organised by what they are. A model is different from a principle. A protocol is different from a system. The structure matters because that's how I actually use them.

Text plus everything else

These notes live in MDX, which means I can drop in components, diagrams, motion, whatever the idea needs. The format is part of the point.

It changes

Public because keeping it private didn't help anyone, including me. Use what's useful. Argue with the rest.
